ArtHan Gallery, Mimar Sinan eseri Kurşunlu Han’ın dokusuyla farklı disiplinlerden gelen günümüzün yaratımlarını harmanlayıp izleyicilere ve yaratıcılara eşsiz bir deneyim yaşatmayı amaçlıyor. Karaköy’de perşeme pazarı olarak anılan bölgede hala hırdavatçıların aktif olarak kullandığı bu han içerisinde yer alan galeri DEKA+2 sergisi ile üretimin farklı katmanları adına da heyecanlı bir kontroast yaratacak. www.arthan.co

“Roma İmparatorluğunun çok önemli ismi Vitruvius’un temel prensipleri “Sağlamlık, İşlevsellik, Güzellik,” benim için dışardan bir göz olarak tasarımları anlamadaki çok önemli mihenk taşları, Tasarım dünyasının DEKA+2 yılda geldiği noktayı görmek ve deneyimlemek heyacan verici. The exhibition venue, ArtHan Gallery is placed in Kurşunlu Han, a place which is a relatively less known spot of İstanbul. The han, placed in Karaköy- Perşembe Pazarı is roughly used by hardware stores and shared by artisans. Arthan Gallery aims to create a unique experience for viewers and creators by blending the texture of Kurşunlu Han, a work of Mimar Sinan, with contemporary creations from different disciplines. DEKA+2 exhibition will also have the potential of creating a contrast with different layers of production. www.arthan.co

Serkan Uzel, the founding partner of ArtHan Gallery, which is the venue of the exhibition, expresses the following comments on this project: “The basic principles of Vitruvius of the Roman Empire, “Strength, Functionality, Beauty” are very important touchstones for me in understanding design as an outsider. It is exciting to be able to see and experience the fundamentals of the design in our times through DEKA+2 exhibition. We hope that this exhibition will contribute to the valuable stakeholders of the design world to increase the motivation and creative power for the next DEKA in the post Covid world.
